Snap Dutch words → flashcards + sentences in context

⚡ One-time setup (2 min)

This app reads your photos and writes example sentences using Google's free Gemini AI. You need a free API key — no credit card.

  1. Open aistudio.google.com/apikey and sign in with Google.
  2. Click Create API key → copy it (starts with AIza…).
  3. Paste it in Settings and you're done.

Anki import: New deck → Import file → set field separator to Tab. Fields are: Dutch, English, Example (NL), Example (EN).

Free from Google AI Studio — no credit card. Stored only on this device (your browser).

Get one at aistudio.google.com/apikey. Free tier: ~10 requests/min, 500/day — plenty for studying.

⚙️ Preferences

Trouble reading photos?

• Use a sharp, well-lit photo; straighten the page.
• If extraction fails with a network/CORS error when opening the file directly, run a tiny local server in the app's folder:
python3 -m http.server 8000 then open http://localhost:8000/woordbeeld.html
• Hitting the daily free limit? Wait a bit or try a different model.
